Tim graduated from Penn State University with Associate Degrees in Architectural Engineering Technology and Solar Heating & Cooling Technology. He acquired four years experience in material procurement and management in the solar heating and cooling industry and 3 additional years of similar experience in other construction related businesses.
In 1989, Tim joined Architectural Metalcraft in Tulsa, Oklahoma, a company that specialized in monumental stairs and ornamental railing systems. He began his career there in the drafting department, but was quickly promoted to purchasing and material management. While in this position, Tim also assisted the Project Manager in handling the various aspects of many different custom projects. In early 1995, Tim moved into the estimating department and was appointed Chief Estimator for, by then, Zephyr Metals in January 1996. In September 1996, he was promoted to Estimating Manager. He had full responsibility for preparing and submitting quotes for the fabrication and installation of stair and rail systems valued up to $2,500,000.00.
Since forming Equus Metals, Inc. with Joe Slaughter, in 1997, Tim has taken these lessons to heart and currently manages the day-to day functions of the office, estimating, sales, drafting and project management staff.
